Bagoong or shrimp-paste is probably the most popular appetizer in the Philippines. From green mango trip to Pinoy’s favorite original recipes, Pinakbet and Kare-Kare, bagoong is something we can’t afford not to have. I’m glad Cagayan de Oro now have something we can truly call our own! The Boyong’s Bagoong is originally made in Cagayan de Oro! Our very own bagoong is home-cooked with the special concoction of flavors and spices. Recently, Kagay-anons enjoy 2 irresistible flavors. The Boyongs Special Bagoong – a ready to eat, semi-sweet sauteed shrimp paste, not too salty not too sweet and the recent flavor (my personal favorite) is the SPICY Boyong’s Special Bagoong, perfect for spicy dishes such as Bicol Express, Samgyupsal (a Korean recipe) or serve it as it is.
